Metal Welding Services
With extensive welding expertise, Linders Specialty Company offers MIG, TIG, and sub-assembly component welding services by certified welders. We can complete a wide range of welding projects, including new assemblies and weldments, as well as repair projects, for OEMs and custom parts. Using the latest welding technology, our metal welding services deliver strong and attractive welds for professional-looking, high-quality metal components.
Welding Capabilities and Processes Available
At Linders Specialty Company, we operate 5-ton and 10-ton overhead cranes to handle projects of nearly any size, specializing in large-scale fabrication, new parts and weldments, as well as repairs, custom components, and repeatable parts. Our experienced team of welders can provide weldments with finish grades of 1, 2, or 3, depending on the application, and deliver fixtureless design and design for manufacturability (DFMA) for internal designs. Supporting your project from design through prototyping and full-scale production, our metal welding services are compatible with stainless steel, steel, aluminum, and Corten steel.
MIG Welding
Feeding a solid filler wire, or electrode, through a welding gun, MIG welding is one of the most commonly used welding processes in the world. The electrode releases a shielding gas, creating an arc between the wire and the workpiece, melting both to produce a strong joint, and then uses the shielding gas to protect the weld pool from atmospheric contaminants. MIG welding services offer high-strength, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of applications and benefits, including:
- High speed and productivity with a continuous wire feed and low cost operation
- Compatible with thick and thin metals to handle high-volume projects
- Versatile, delivering clean results with minimal spatter and slag removal
- Used across automotive, manufacturing, and construction industries
TIG Welding
Using a non-melting tungsten electrode, TIG welding is a high-precision fusion welding process preferred for applications where precision and strength are essential. The tungsten electrode creates an electric arc to heat and melt the metal. Inert gas shielding is also used in this process to protect the weld pool and ensure high-quality, spatter-free joints; however, TIG welding services also offer more precise heat control, which can be used with or without filler metal. TIG welding provides the following for custom welding and fabrication:
- Ideal process for high-precision, specialized, and critical applications
- Ability to produce sanitary, leak-proof, corrosion-resistant joints
- Handles thin gauge sheet materials with minimal distortion, less efficient with thick materials
- Delivers precise heat control to reduce warping, but operates at lower speeds
- Works with a wide range of metal materials with various positioning capabilities
