Channel Bending

Channel bending has been part of the core business of Linders Specialty Company for over 40 years. We have the technical know-how to accurately reproduce a multitude of accurately matching parts to within our tight shop tolerances. Our multiple machines allow us to select the correct equipment to use the material that you need.

Our expertise allows us to produce your required rolled channels to within your requested tolerances with a high degree of repeatability. Linders operates and maintains a multitude of rolling/bending machines which allow us to select the correct equipment and tooling dies for your metal material – or we can use metals that we can provide for your project.

Linders Specialty Company’s cutting-edge-technology equipment allows us to bend large channels with negligible distortion (which is also present during the bending process). We can reduce your costs by matching your project to the correct machine which allows us to reduce the material lost to trimming after rolling.

While rolling orientations can vary based on the actual relative sizes of the web and flanges, we are able to bend channels:

  • Flanges out
  • Flanges in
  • The hard way – general parallel to the channel web.

And we have the expertise to produce your product accurately and repetitively with reduction of natural material distortion in all orientations.

The Linders technique can provide compound bends and our broad availability of rolling equipment ensures that we have the right tooling to complete your job even with a demanding delivery schedule. We can also provide rolling of channels where there can be multiple bends or with multiple variable radii.

Additional Value

In addition to our basic channel bending, Linders can complete your project with trim and bevel of your parts and add fabrication services to the final product. We can saw, add plasma or torch cutting as well as punching or drilling holes. We can add additional welding and fabricated assemblies. Surface finishing including paint, powder coating, sandblasting and corrosion prevention are also available.
