T-Beam Bending

T-Beams (tee-beams) are created by splitting a regular beam down the web longitudinally. Linders Specialty Company has the ability to bend these newly formed t-beams for multiple industrial uses.

We can accurately mass produce your required rolled t-beams to requested tolerances with a high degree of repeatability. Linders maintains and operates an array of rolling machines which allow us to select the correct equipment and tooling dies to bend your t-beams to the desired radius.

The Linders Specialty Company’s state-of-the-art equipment at allows us to bend large t-beams with negligible distortion (which is also present to some degree during the bending process). We are able to do this because we can match your project to the optimal rolling machine, allowing us to reduce the material lost due to trimming and therefore reducing your total costs.

Rolling orientations vary based on the actual relative sizes of the web and flanges. We are able to bend T-beams:

  • The easy way – generally beam web out.
  • The hard way – generally beam web in.
  • Beam web up (perpendicular to the bending radius).

And we have the expertise to produce your rolled t-beams with reduction of natural material distortion in all orientations.

We can also provide rolling of t-beams where there can be multiple bends or with multiple variable radii. The Linders process can provide compound bends and our broad availability of rolling equipment ensures that we have the right tooling to complete your job within your delivery schedule.

Additional Value

In addition to our basic beam bending, Linders can also trim and bevel your rolled t-beams and add fabrication services to the final product. We can saw, add plasma or torch cutting as well as punching or drilling holes and add additional fabricated assemblies. Surface finishing including paint, powder coating, sandblasting and corrosion prevention are available.
