Bar Bending
The same innovation and 40-year experience from Linders Specialty Company that provides other bending and rolling services has also been a proven source for bar rolling. Bar rolling is the process of taking flat bar stock and producing precise curved components from that flat bar.
One of the great advantages of bar rolling is that you can produce flat rings and ring segments with far less scrap material as opposed to laser cutting or plasma burning to get the same part from a sheet. This process saves material, time and money.
The rolled bar ends up achieving the same level of accuracy you required from other methods of manufacturing. At Linders, we have a multiple of rolling/bending machines which allow us to select the correct equipment and tooling dies for your bar rolling needs.
Distortion (which is always present during any bending process) is negligible with the state-of-the-art equipment at Linders Specialty Company. This allows us to bend large flat bars with high precision. Matching your project to the correct machine allows us to reduce the material lost to trimming and therefore reducing your costs.
We are able to roll bars:
- The easy way – perpendicular to the largest dimension of the bar.
- The hard way – parallel to the largest dimension of the bar
All with tight tolerances in all directions.
We can also provide bar rolling that can have multiple bends or with multiple variable radii. The Linders methodology can provide compound bends and our broad availability of rolling equipment ensures that we have the right tooling to complete your job even with a demanding delivery schedule.

Additional Value
To add to the bar rolling for your project, Linders can also trim and bevel your parts and add fabrication services to the final product. We can add saw, plasma or torch cutting as well as punching or drilling holes and add additional assemblies. Surface finishing such as paint, powder coating, sandblasting and corrosion prevention are available.
